  1. Hive connected home integration with Logitech Harmony Infrastructure

Logitech Harmony has a series of devices to control multiple smart and non smart devices using phone and their universal remotes.
They also support activity creation to activate and control multiple devices in a single command this can include lights, hi-fi systems, television, streamers etc.
they already have support for nest, philips hue etc.
but I would not like to invest in a sperate infrastructures to get lighting, smart plugs, heating, motion control etc.
it makes sense to have a Hive presence in the Logitech harmony ecosystem as it already has support for thousands of devices.

  2. Delete an offline device

Add the option to delete a device which is offline.

I bought a faulty hive bulb a while ago and I simply took the bulb out and returned it to Homebase for a replacement - but I forgot to delete it whilst it was still online.

Now I’m stuck with an “offline” bulb on my app.

Seems like it should be such an easy addition.

    Thanks

  5. Outside temperature missing

Why have you removed the outside temperature reading from the control screen as this was very useful when away from property/out of country ( the whole point of hive!)??
Also why does the hot water control screen not match the heating? This is very confusing when trying to explain to the elderly or less tech savvy!!

  6. Let us select default heating boost temperature

The default boost temperature used to be the same as the temperature set in your schedule. Now it appears to be set at 22c with no way to set the default to a different temperature. This is a retrograde step and annoying that you have to change the temperature each time you use boost.

  9. iPhone app update for iPhone X

Currently the app uses an old iOS keyboard and doesn’t make proper use of the larger screens on the plus models or iPhone X. It would be great if they could update the app to finally support plus models and iPhone X.

The ability to arrange each device on the app in an order the user prefers would be very helpful

    Hi There

Thanks for getting in touch with a great idea. The more requests we receive the higher up the priority list this will go, so spread the word.

    Thanks

  11. Control multiple lights at once

Hi, it would be great if you could control multiple lights bulbs at once from the app. For example, if you have three bulbs in one room, it would be easier to dim/on/off all three at once if needed rather than one at a time.

  13. Alexa skills for Hive - Need more control so as to save energy

Currently use Alexa to voice control my Hive System which is great. My only comment is that the commands are very limited and some cases are costing me money! For example when I ask Alexa to boost the hot water it defaults to 1 hour. Need a command to allow it to boost for only half an hour. If I ask Alexa to boost the heating it defaults the 22c and one hour. Need to be able to set boost temperature as this temperature is too high. If you turn on heating outside the schedule then ask Alexa to turn…

started  ·  Hive Product Team responded

    Hi everyone,

Boost is in the custom Alexa skill as it is not supported on the Smart Home skill. We are working being able to customise it further in future releases.

    Thanks,
    The Hive team

  14. Changing name of receiver

Being able to change the name of the receiver so that amazon echo understands better than saying "alexa turn receiver to 25" changing the name to say heating or thermostat, so uou can tell alexa to turn heating to 25 or turn thermostat to 25 rather than saying receiver

  15. Would love to see the Zigbee opened up to my Control4 automation system so i don't have to use a separate app to control heating and water

Allow Control4 to see the Hive on the Zigbee network and connect to the Control4 main panel

  16. Master Switch for Notifications

Ideal goal: I never have to manually enable and disable sensors.

Example: When I, or a family member, arrive home with an approved phone, the door, motion, and camera notations are switched off. When I go out and no approved phone is present, the notifications re-enable.

Incremental goal: I can enable and disable all notifications in one go.

Example: As I leave the house, I tap a control in the app to enable all notifications for doors, motion sensors, and camera. When I arrive back home I tap to disable them all.

This is like setting and deactivating an alarm.…

  18. More android widgets

Additional widgets for turning on and off of connected smart items (plugs, light bulbs etc) would be really useful
