Samsung Smarthings Integration
The Samsung Smarthings hub could control the hive system directly without the need for the nano hub. This could rationalise the number of zigbee hubs in a smart home, reducing power consumption, the number of Ethernet ports and power sockets required.
The Samsung Smarthings hub already integrates with Philips hue, by using their existing hub, not ideal but does allow for Samsung routines to be integrated with the Philips hue eco system. This allows for better presence detection using smart phones, presence fobs or motion detectors. Philips by keeping their hub they have retained the original Philips hue functionality, but have augmented it with the Samsung integration.
The Samsung Smarthings hub is battery backed up, so if a power outage occurred, routines can be carried out once power is restored.

This would be a welcome feature and indeed integration with a wide range of home automation solutions would be sensible for the future.
Do you have plans to add support for smart things hub?
